Welcome to the Cancer Research UK Leeds Centre
We are a partnership between the University of Leeds, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Cancer Research UK. We aim to harness the scientific power of Leeds-based cancer researchers to deliver improvements in cancer care at the local, national and international level.
Our Centre focuses on multidisciplinary research involving experts from structural biology, ‘Big Data’ and the physical sciences. We also have particular strengths in melanoma, colorectal cancer, haemato-oncology and neuro-oncology. We work closely with the Leeds, with Bradford, ECMC and the Leeds Multidisciplinary Research Tissue Banks.
Beyond research, we are keen to build stronger relationships with the local community – with patients undergoing cancer treatment, their carers, cancer survivors and the wider public. We have a regular programme of engagement events and a busy Public and Patient Involvement in Research group.
To keep up to date, you are welcome to join the Centre email list, just contact our Centre Manager. You can also subscribe to our RSS feed and follow us on Twitter.
