The Centre marked World Cancer Day on the 4 February in a wide variety of ways! Centre researcher Dr. Mark Harland tweeted throughout the day as he continued his research into melanoma. His tweets, and accompanying photographs, can still be viewed online.

The Centre’s Research Engagement Manager, Andy Wilson, toured the hospital site seeking donations in return for World Cancer Day Unity wristbands – he raised a very impressive £355 with generous help from staff in the Thackray Museum. The wristbands come in two parts that form a knot to represent strength in unity. If you missed the chance to obtain a wristband they can be still be obtained from Andy for a small donation.

There was also coverage in the Yorkshire Post.
