The University of Leeds and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust have a strong tradition of training in clinical work and research. Within the Cancer Research UK Leeds Centre, training focuses on biomedical and applied health research for Clinical and Non-Clinical Research Doctorates (Clinical Research Fellowships and PhD Studentships) in its strategic scientific themes.
Our training schemes are designed to give fellows and students a broad experience of basic science, clinical, and applied cancer research. Fellows and students have the opportunity to study and get involved in research projects that span disciplines across the University and Trust including physics, chemistry and engineering as well as the conventional biomedical cancer research disciplines.
