PNAS paper!

Myc (red) interacting with Aurora-A kinase (blue)

Professor Richard Bayliss, Deputy Director of the Centre, has an exciting new Myc paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, entitled, ‘Structural basis of N-Myc binding by Aurora-A and its destabilisation by kinase inhibitors’. In this paper Prof Bayliss and his collaborators explore the relationship between the Myc and Aurora-A molecules in cancer development. There is an excellent article on CRUK’s science blog, which explains the implications of their discoveries. Congratulations to all involved!
